DIVE INFORMATION:
Hello All!
My name is Luke Richmond, and I am the new PSD Head Girls Diving Coach. Along with coaches MJ Macias-Romero and Kyle Knapp, we are excited to serve as your coaches this upcoming season!
If you are receiving this email, you have either participated in diving in years past or expressed interest in participating this upcoming season.
For the time being, we will be using GroupMe for our announcements and communication, but we will utilize the SportsPlus platform, which contains team practice schedules, competition calendars, and additional announcements. All of these details are in the attached PSD Diving Team Handbook.
Here is the link to join the GroupMe account. Feel free to pass it around for others who may be interested in participating this season!

Unfortunately, I will not be able to visit every school before the start of the season, but I have attached our PSD Diving team handbook which lays out details pertaining to attendance, lettering criteria, club participation/integration, and academic requirements, etc. Official team schedules will be coming from each of your respective schools' athletic departments and/or swim team.
For general reference, we will have similar restrictions for in-water training, given numbers and facility availability as last year, however, the general concept and time Frames will be as follows:
Monday:
7:30a-8:30a (All PSD - Dryland); 4:30p-6:00p (2 x 45 minute groups separated by school)
Tuesday:
7:30a-8:30a (Group A -Water / Group B-No Practice); 4:30p-6:00p (2 x 45 minute groups separated by school)
Wednesday:
7:30a-8:30a (All PSD - Dryland); 4:30p-6:00p (2 x 45 minute groups separated by school)
Thursday:
7:30a-8:30a (Group A-Off / Group B-Water); 4:30p-6:00p (2 x 45 minute groups separated by school)
Friday:
7:30a-8:30a (All PSD - Dryland);; 4:30p-6:00p (2 x 45 minute groups separated by school)
I do highly encourage each of you to actively participate in team functions with each of your school's swim team. If you are an upperclassman, I suggest looking into potentially hosting a team dinner. Most of the memories you will take with you from your time participating in high school sports will not be as much on how you performed, but rather the work you put in and the relationships and memories you make. From personal experience, I couldn't tell you any of the scores I had or all the various places I finished, but what I do vividly remember are the laughs, the cheering, and the friendships that I hold dear even to this day. However, as in life, you will only get out of it what you put into it! Make it count!
Please feel free to reach out with any questions you may have and please feel free to share this email and link to the GroupMe chat as well.
Thanks!
